Evan Gallo Auctioneers was built around a simple belief: an auction house should know what it is selling and stand behind it.
I began in the auction profession at a young age, learning in a local auction house where one lesson stayed with me above all others—the importance of knowing your merchandise. That principle has shaped the way I approach both auctioneering and the prehistoric artifact market today.
At Evan Gallo Auctioneers, authenticity comes first, with customer satisfaction directly behind it. Every artifact is approached carefully and deliberately, with the goal of providing buyers with an honest, transparent marketplace where they can participate with confidence.
We believe collecting should be exciting—not unnecessarily complicated. From clear descriptions and careful photography to straightforward terms, accessible communication, and continued improvements to the bidding experience, our goal is to remove as much friction as possible between a collector and the next meaningful addition to their collection.
That same philosophy extends to our consignors. We combine specialized knowledge, professional presentation, modern technology, and an understanding of the collector market to properly represent the material entrusted to us. Technology can make the auction process easier, but knowledge, authenticity, and trust remain at the center of every sale.

Evan Gallo serves on the elected Board of Directors of the Ohio Auctioneers Association and is an elected director of the King Beaver Chapter of the Archaeological Society of Ohio. Through professional involvement, education, outreach, and continued participation in the collecting community, he advocates for responsible collecting and a greater understanding of North American prehistoric artifacts.
We believe that a healthier collecting community begins with better information. Whether someone is purchasing their first artifact, building a lifelong collection, consigning material for auction, or simply trying to learn, our goal is to contribute to an environment where education is encouraged, authenticity is expected, and collectors are treated fairly.
