This relic was recovered on the Ward Farm in Pickaway County, Ohio and is made from a fully translucent chalcedony Flint Ridge flint. This relic has a heavily ground base and expanded notches that are also heavily ground. In addition, this early stage relic has minor beveling on the edge from ancient resharpening and numerous patinated hinge flakes that confirm its age. The tip has been restored using both original material and synthetic material 13mm from the tip of the point. This example comes from the infamous collection of Earl Townsend Jr. (His number 2210).
